Training 

 

With many years experience in the Reining & Western Pleasure industry our qualified trainer here at Laxton Performance Horses is guaranteed to ensure the utmost quality, care & training that there is to offer.

 

We have all of our horses in work six days per week, as we believe in rewarding all of our precious friends with a relaxation day where they can just relax & have no work pressures.

 

We believe that having this day off every week all the horses that we train benefit from not being over worked & have time to think on the weeks work they have just completed.

 

We can train your beloved Reining or Western Pleasure mounts for you from the training pen to the show pen.

 

Our minimum training period is six weeks, but we can accommodate long term training at our clients request.

 

We attend all shows where possible to ensure that our clients training needs are followed through into the show ring as to ensure that winning result that we are all aiming for.

 

We can also show your horse on your behalf if required.

 

We wash all gear after each horse use, saddle pads & girths are washed off, bits rinsed. Boots are only washed once a week, but most commonly each horse has a certain set of boots assigned to it.

 

Each horse is issued its own bridle whilst here that is utilised for the entire training time unless there is a change needed to better the results.

 

Every horse is always groomed before each ride & always hosed down after every workout, scraped off & brushed. We wash with shampoo once a month (unless needed !) at no extra charge. But if you would like a show prep completed on the horse it is an additional charge.
